STRUCTURE OF LIONS CLUBS IN PAKISTAN
The basic unit of Lions Clubs
International is its Clubs. Each Club is independent body having
its own board of directors and own service activities. A Club must
have at least 20 members. About 300 Clubs are operating in all parts
of Pakistan. For administrative purpose these Clubs are
divided into 5 districts depending upon their geographical areas.
These districts are named as :
305 South 1 : Main parts of
Karachi, Nawabshah.
305 South 2 : Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur.
305 South 3 : Karachi, Hyderabad, Shikarpur, Larkana, Badin.
305 North 1 : Multan, Faisalabad, Lahore and adjecent Towns.
305 North 2 : NWFP, Balochistan, Pindi, Islamabad, Sialkot,
Gujrat, Gujranwala
Each district must
have at least 35 Lions Clubs and 1250 members in these Clubs. The
Chief Executive of each district is called District Governor who is
elected every year for one year term.
Each District
Governor is assisted by Vice District Governor (VDG) who supports
Governor in managing District affairs, VDG's position is also
an elected position.
The Clubs in each
District are further divided into Regions (comprising of 10 -16
Clubs) and Zones (comprising of 4 - 8 Clubs) which are headed by
Region Chairpersons and Zone Chairpersons respectively nominated by
District Governor.
The Zone Chairmen
directly work in close coordination of Club Presidents. The District
Governor also nominates different District Chairmen who work
directly under District Governor and motivate Clubs to perform
service activities in the fields allocated to them.

All the 5 District
Governors constitute Council of Governor which is headed by a senior
Lion who is called Council Chairman. He / She is the figure head of
Lions Clubs International in Pakistan.
A council Vice Chairman
assists Council Chairman in running the affairs of Lions in Pakistan
at country level. |
